Frederick Mahar

Frederick Mahar is the founder and managing principal of FM Mahar & Associates, a private client professional practice located in South West Victoria.

Frederick heads up tax consulting at FM Mahar & Associates and specialises in providing Capital Gains Tax, superannuation and corporate tax advice to small and medium sized enterprises as well as high net worth individuals. Frederick has been involved in many structured transactions, taxation strategies and business re-organisations.

Frederick has over 20 years experience in commerce and public practice and holds concurrent membership with CPA Australia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand. Frederick is a Chartered Tax Adviser and has recently completed the Master of Taxation program (MTax) offered by the University of New South Wales. Frederick is also a regular contributor to the Tax Institute’s, ‘Taxation in Australia’ blue journal and the ‘Tax Specialist’ red journal as well as holds a membership with the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
